The conference is intended to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners dealing with all aspects of discrete and computational geometry. JCDCG has been held every year since 1997, as a local conference every odd year and an international conference every even year. Internationally prominent researchers and practitioners will be invited by the organizers to present papers. Refereed conference proceedings will be published as a volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (Springer-Verlag).

Submission of Abstracts and Full Papers

Authors who wish to contribute papers are requested to submit an extended abstract of at most two pages in a standard 10-point font on A4-paper by e-mail (ps-file) or mail (printed paper) to

Submission deadline for extended abstracts: August 15, 2002
Notification of acceptance: September 15, 2002
Submission deadline for full papers: December 9, 2002

Accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference Abstracts.


Registration Fee

A registration fee of 20,000 yen (approx. US$ 180) and 10,000 yen (approx. US$ 90) for students will be charged.
This covers the cost of handouts, the conference proceedings, the Welcome Party on December 5 and the Conference Dinner on December 8.



The conference proceedings will be published in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (Springer-Verlag).
